Christmas Bingo Lunches!

Well finally all the planning, advertising, and hard work paid off for our first ever Christmas Bingo Lunch which we held in Rafters last Wednesday.  It was a full house (excuse the pun lol 🙂 and everyone was seated at 12.30pm and enjoyed homemade Tomato and basil soup, followed by succulent roast turkey with all the trimmings ending with homemade sherry trifle.  From the comments received our chefs once again excelled themselves!

Then came the prize bingo and what laughs we had! 5 games in total with prizes and vouchers to be won.  As we finished and people started to drift off everyone said how it was a lovely, fun afternoon and something that ‘little bit different’.  It was nice to see everyone enjoying themselves and for this we thank those who attended.

Wine and Tapas evening a massive success!!!

Well last night we held our wine and tapas evening which was a sell out. From the comments received a good night was had by all. ‘Amazing’, ‘gorgeous’, ‘fantastic’  were some of the words used to describe the tapas when  our chef, Steve, went to meet the  customers.  Patrice, our resident wine connoisseur, was once again on hand to serve the wines and discuss its origins… he even converted someone from their usual tipple of red to white!  Music was provided in the background by Libby Driscoll on guitar in her own distinctive style (she really is a find for us!). All this provided for a chilled, relaxed atmosphere with everyone enjoying the food, ambience and music; exactly the type of night we were aiming for!

A big thank you to everyone who attended and made it such a success.  Lots of people were asking when the next one is so just watch this space for the next date!
